If They Were to Call for Me, What a Spectacle It Would Be

وہ بُلائیں تو کیا تماشا ہو ہم نہ جائیں تو کیا تماشا ہو
vo bulā.eñ to kyā tamāshā ho ham na jaa.eñ to kyā tamāshā ho
If they were to call for me, what a spectacle it would be; (But) if I were not to go, what a spectacle that would be.
یہ کناروں سے کھیلنے والے ڈُوب جائیں تو کیا تماشا ہو
ye kināroñ se khelne vaale Duub jaa.eñ to kyā tamāshā ho
These people who play it safe at the shores; If they were to drown, what a spectacle it would be.
بندہ پرور جو ہم پہ گُزری ہے ہم بتائیں تو کیا تماشا ہو
banda-parvar jo ham pe guzrī hai ham batā.eñ to kyā tamāshā ho
O cherisher of servants (my master), all that has befallen me; If I were to reveal it, what a spectacle it would be.
آج ہم بھی تِری وفاؤں پر مسکرائیں تو کیا تماشا ہو
aaj ham bhī tirī vafāoñ par muskurā.eñ to kyā tamāshā ho
Today, if I too, upon (hearing of) your loyalties... Were to just smile, what a spectacle it would be.
تیری صُورت جو اتفاق سے ہم بھُول جائیں تو کیا تماشا ہو
terī sūrat jo ittifāq se ham bhuul jaa.eñ to kyā tamāshā ho
Your face, which (haunts me), if by some chance... I were to forget, what a spectacle it would be.
وقت کی چند ساعتیں 'ساغر' لَوٹ آئیں تو کیا تماشا ہو
vaqt kī chand sā.ateñ 'sāġhar' lauT aa.eñ to kyā tamāshā ho
